The 2018 Asian Games are being held in Jakarta and Palembang from 18 August to 2 September 2018.
The Asian Games will this year be held for the 18th time. This Olympic style, multi-sports event was originally scheduled to take place in the Vietnamese capital of Hanoi. Since Hanoi was not able to host the event, the Asian Games were reallocated to Jakarta.
The athletes at the 2018 Asian Games will be competing in more than 40 different sports.
