Al Gaffal Long Distance Race 2018
Dubai’s largest sailing regatta has been held annually since 1991. It is the closing event of the water sports season. Starting at Sir Bu Nair Island, the race ends by the Burj Al Arab in Dubai. This competition is reserved for Emirati crew members only. The traditional Arab sailing boats, the so-called dhows, are 18 metres long. Watch the spectacular final with several hundred dhows from one of the nearby beaches.
