On the Memorial Day Weekend, the city commemorates the lives of those who died while serving in the armed forces. A tribute to the courageous men and women fought for their country. Numerous events and ceremonies take place – for instance beach concerts, family functions, a comedy festival and special events in various museums. The party continues well into the night, because Miami Memorial Day Weekend also marks the unofficial start of the summer season.
