The next Fête de la Musique takes place in Paris on 21 June 2019. Every year since 1982, Paris has celebrated its Music Day.

The date is the same every year and coincides with the summer solstice. Amateur and professional musicians perform free of charge in streets and on squares, the objective being to introduce Paris residents and tourists to a wide variety of music genres. Although companion events now take place in more than 540 cities worldwide, Music Day has its origins in the French capital.
